Ashleigh is a professional in the dance industry, working as a chorographer, performer, adjudicator and qualified teacher on the Gold Coast. She upholds a Bachelor of Primary Education with a specialization in Physical Education. Ashleigh is a qualified RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) ballet teacher who prepares and rehearses students for examinations. She is currently contracted as one for the NRL Gold Coast Titan’s cheerleaders. Ashleigh appreciates the importance of professional development and is committed to producing the best technical dancers on the coast. She is excited to finally fulfil her ultimate dream as a director of a dance studio that allows students to truly blossom into confident young people.
Jess Waller is a recent Year 12 Graduate of 2014, who was involved in the Palm Beach Currumbin High Schools Dance Excellence Program since grade 8. She began her dance training at the age of 6. Over the past 7 years Jess has danced under the guidance of Ashleigh Hines. She has danced all styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop & cheerleading. Jess aspires to have an exciting career in dance and has already choreographed and performed in music videos for the Laurie Lawrence Kids Alive program and performs as Lifesaver Lil in numerous performances throughout Queensland. Jess loves teaching as she finds it truly rewarding to see the joy students receive when they achieve their goals and while on stage in front of an audience.
Debbie Landel is an experienced & fully qualified Teacher and Adjudicator, trained at The Australian Ballet School in Melbourne and has also studied in Russia, London, Europe & America.
After being the Principal of a Studio in Sydney for 10 years & then relocating to QLD, Debbie was then a Principal for 20 years on The Gold Coast.
Many students are now successfully dancing on various Cruise Ships and stages around the world. Miss Debbie has been a Mentor for the Royal Academy of Dance & has trained many student teachers to obtain their RAD Teaching Certificate. Miss Debbie is also proud to be the Patron of a Ballet School in Okayama Japan where she has often been invited to Guest Teach.
Miss Debbie has recently judged many competitions including, Brisbane Eisteddfod Solos in 2016 and Brisbane Eisteddfod Groups in 2017, Wollongong Eisteddfod 2017, the ATOD National Finals in 2016, the National Finals of School Dance & Glee Competition 2016 & 2017, Ipswich Eisteddfod, Gold Coast Eisteddfod Special Needs 2017, Hamilton VIC & Melbourne Performing Arts Challenge.
Miss Debbie now Freelances on the Gold Coast and loves encouraging the up and coming Dancers of tomorrow.
Jess has been dancing since she was 5 years old, she has been trained in all styles and completed her Full-Time dance course at Ikin Dance in 2009. Jess has been a professional dancer for many years seeing herself dance in Touring Show’s, TV Show’s, Music Video’s and Back- Up dancing for well- known artists as well as performing for corporate events. With her dance background
Lauren is an Acrobatic Arts Certified teacher having completed her Module One and Back Handspring/Aerial training. She is also a professional dancer having worked around the world for 10 years. Her time abroad includes working for both Carnival and Costa Cruise Lines, Barbie in Indonesia, and Brazilian Samba dancer for Chica Bonita in the UK. She also has experience in corporate events and seasonal events. Lauren has also had experience teaching dance in the UK in a variety of styles. Lauren studied dance at the Australian Dance Performance Institute where she completed an Advanced Diploma of Dance Performance. She has Advanced examinations standards in Jazz, Tap (BAL) & Ballet (RAD). She has grown up competing in Eisteddfods on the Gold Coast and is excited to be back teaching the next generation of dancers.
With over 35 years of dance experience, Deb’s formal training has been in the Commonwealth Society of Teacher’s of Dancing Syllabus (C.S.T.D) in Tap, Jazz, Theatrical and Acrobatics. Combined with a background in Ballet (R.A.D. Syllabus), Deb has performed in many professional environments such as Corporate Cabaret Shows, Cheerleading, Expos, Festivals, Pantomimes, Eisteddfods and frequent television appearances in the 1980’s! Previously the Director and Principal of a dance school in Brisbane, Deb has also taught in various dance schools in both Melbourne and Brisbane. Fully trained as a Group Fitness Instructor, Deb has also studied a BA in Leisure and Recreation Management and believes leisure, through DANCE, provides a creative foundation for enjoyment, encouragement and expression……a child who is stimulated creatively will learn more readily and perform better in day to day activities…..a complete balance for life. Deb looks forward to sharing her love for dance and passion for TAP, with the Signature Dance Students.
Kahlia has been dancing since the age of 5 and was trained in tap, jazz, contemporary and musical theater. In her teens she found a passion for hip-hop and fell in love. She has trained and competed in many crews traveling to Vegas to compete in HipHop International, danced for several urban stars including Savage, Scribe and T Pain and has taught for just over 10 years. After spending time in New Zealand learning from the Royal Family, the number one hiphop crew in the world, she is more excited than ever to be teaching and passing on her passion for hiphop to the next generation
