Jess has been dancing since she was 5 years old, she has been trained in all styles and completed her Full-Time dance course in 2009. Jess has been a professional dancer for many years seeing herself dance in Touring Show’s, TV Show’s, Music Video’s and Back- Up dancing for well- known artists as well as performing for corporate events. With her dance background and experience in business, she has been a massive support to all families and staff at Signature Dance for the past 7 years.

Ashleigh is the Founder and Director of Signature Dance. 

She was a professional in the dance industry, working as a choreographer, adjudicator and qualified teacher on the Gold Coast. She upholds a Bachelor of Primary Education with a specialization in Physical Education. Ashleigh is a qualified RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) ballet teacher and further extends her studies with a certificate in Progressing Ballet Technique. Ashleigh recently completed her instructor course for the Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Program and is committed to creating the whole dancer: physically, mentally and emotionally.

Ashleigh appreciates the importance of professional development and is extremely dedicated to her staff, students and families of Signature Dance. 

Jess’ love for dance began at a very young age and is beaming passionately through her life journey. Her goals and ambitions for teaching this art form never fail to disappoint. Jessica has trained for many years under the guidance of Ashleigh in the styles of Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Heels, Acrobatics and Cheerleading where she received a Scholarship (2017) and Principal Hours award (2018). She has completed her Gold Level training in Ready Set Dance and is currently studying a Certificate IV in Dance teaching and Management. Jessica is currently working as a professional dancer, performer and show suit entertainer at the popular theme park Dreamworld. She has recently engaged in professional work with Chase Creation Agency, TP World Tours and the Sunday Sessions Pro Series Four. Jess is very excited to share her love for dance, knowledge and kind-heartedness with Signature Dance.

Karin Mochizuki has been dancing since she was 7 years old and is continuing on her journey to this day. Ashleigh was one of her very first dance teachers before deciding to become a professional in the industry. She firstly started training at a studio called Dance Technique before beginning her training at Launch Performing Arts Centre on the Goldcoast. She has trained in all genres such as Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hiphop, Ballet, Contemporary, Acrobatics and many more. Karin has recently been training in the U.S to pass on her knowledge to her students. Karin has also completed her Cert III in dance. Recently she has been working as a lead dancer in Dora The Explorer The Movie releasing in 2019. She is very excited to work with everyone at Signature Dance and pass on her knowledge, not only that but to get inspired by them.

Sarah has trained in all styles of dance from a young age under renowned teacher Kay Horsey, completed all of her CSTD examinations in Tap, Jazz and Ballet, competed, performed professionally around Australia and continued as a dance teacher for the last twelve years. After completing her Bachelor of Exercise Science degree followed by herMasters of Physiotherapy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, she now works full-time as a Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. Sarah is passionate about lifelong learning, something she instils in her students, and is currently studying her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy on the path to becoming an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist in mid-2023. After living the physical toll and hardships of dance herself, and watching her students face the increasing demands of the industry first-hand, Sarah strives to help empower the next generation of dancers to take responsibility for their health and wellbeing whilst developing flexibility, strength and dance technique safely as they seek a long and successful career in the performing arts industry. She is very excited to be joining the Signature Dance Team in 2023!

Jess Waller is a Year 12 Graduate of 2014, who was involved in the Palm Beach Currumbin High Schools Dance Excellence Program since grade 8. She began her dance training at the age of 6. Over the past 7 years Jess has danced under the guidance of Ashleigh Hines. She has danced all styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop & cheerleading. Jess aspires to have an exciting career in dance and has already choreographed and performed in music videos for the Laurie Lawrence Kids Alive program and performs as Lifesaver Lil in numerous performances throughout Queensland. Jess loves teaching as she finds it truly rewarding to see the joy students receive when they achieve their goals and while on stage in front of an audience.

Grace grew up in Launceston Tasmania, dancing from the age of two. Her dance teaching journey started when she was fifteen years old, teaching mini solos and duos. Now she is twenty-three years old, studying Primary Education at University and eight years into her dance teaching career. After completely full time dance at Brent Street in 2019, she started teaching dance full time in Tasmania. She has experience in jazz, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, tap, acrobatics, and ballet styles, and now loving a new endeavour in teaching the Ready Set Dance syllabus.

Grace is extremely excited to step into this new Administration position at Signature Dance and can’t wait continue her passion for dance on the Gold Coast.

Feonie’s passion for dance, drama and singing started at an early age and has continued throughout her school years and into her adult life. Feonie has great achievements within the entertainment industry including; choreographing for Brainstorm Theatre Company, Contemporary dance camps and behind the scenes as a stage manager for a Comedy Theatre Company. 

Performing as Dorothy the Dinosaur with The Wiggles and cheerleading for the Canterbury Bulldogs, Feonie brings a wealth of performance knowledge and support to the students of Signature Dance.

Feonie recently completed her instructor course for the Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Program.

Debbie Landel is an experienced & fully qualified Teacher and Adjudicator, trained at The Australian Ballet School in Melbourne and has also studied in Russia, London, Europe & America.
After being the Principal of a Studio in Sydney for 10 years & then relocating to QLD, Debbie was then a Principal for 20 years on The Gold Coast.

Many students are now successfully dancing on various Cruise Ships and stages around the world. Miss Debbie has been a Mentor for the Royal Academy of Dance & has trained many student teachers to obtain their RAD Teaching Certificate. Miss Debbie is also proud to be the Patron of a Ballet School in Okayama Japan where she has often been invited to Guest Teach.

Miss Debbie has recently judged many competitions.
Miss Debbie now Freelances on the Gold Coast and loves encouraging the up and coming Dancers of tomorrow.

Kyra Dooley begun her training at the age of five and completed her Cert IV in Dance Performance Full Time 2018 with Dance Force.

Kyra has been seen on The Voice and featured in music videos such as Guy Sebastian, Courtney Act and YBY Chilly music. Kyra was also part of The Dream Dance Company DEJA VU show 2019 and SHOW | BUSINESS 2019 cast working closely with Marko Panzic and Katie Sanchez.

In 2020 Kyra was offered a role in Baz - Luhrmann new Elvis movie coming out in 2022 which she has been offered a dance role. Kyra has been a dance/ model ambassador for “Energetiks” since 2019 and continues to work with them on a regular basis.
